    Terms & Conditions of Sale

    All orders are subject to approval by Julian Marshall Studio. You may place an order by following the process outlined on our website. By placing an order, you commit to paying for the items if the order is accepted.

    Orders will only be processed once full payment has been received.

    The prices listed on the website do not include: (a) shipping or delivery charges to the designated address; or (b) applicable taxes, such as VAT and any duties, which will be added to the final price.

    By placing an order, you agree to cover taxes, shipping, or delivery fees as specified by Julian Marshall Studio at the time of order submission.

    Before making a purchase, you are responsible for ensuring that you are able to receive the items. This includes confirming that the products can be delivered and fit through your doors, stairs, and into your selected room without any issues.

    If items are not collected within 30 days of the final invoice date, additional storage fees will apply.

    Julian Marshall Studio will handle all shipments unless you specify a preferred delivery method. If a shipment is returned due to a delay or failure to accept delivery, you will be responsible for any additional costs, including storage charges.

    Please ensure that your contact details are up to date so we can reach you regarding your order or delivery.

    As many of our products are limited editions, if an order is placed for unavailable items, Julian Marshall Studio will issue a refund for the amount paid for those items.

  • Product Images, Dimensions, and Finishes

    The product images on our website are provided for reference only, and we have made every effort to present accurate colours. However, due to varying screen settings, we cannot guarantee that the colours displayed on your device will match the actual product colours. As a result, the products you receive may differ slightly from the images shown.

    Many of our wood and metal finishes are hand-applied, which means there can be natural variations in colour, tone, and texture. While our artisans strive to achieve consistency, exact matches cannot be assured.

    Please note that finishes are not guaranteed against fading or oxidation over time.

    Natural materials like wood and stone have inherent colour and pattern variations, which contribute to their unique beauty.

    As each piece of furniture and lighting is handmade, slight differences may occur in its final appearance. Similarly, we cannot guarantee that fabrics, whether dyed or natural, will not fade with use.

    Although we aim for the highest accuracy, the measurements provided on our site, including dimensions, weight, and capacity, are approximate.

    No returns or disputes regarding these matters will be accepted.

     
  • Product Pricing and Payment Terms

    The prices for products listed on our website are subject to change at any time without prior notice.

    Payment for the product and any associated shipping and delivery charges must be made using a debit card, credit card, or bank transfer.

    All shipments from Julian Marshall Studio require advance payment. If the buyer fails to make payment in accordance with these terms or fails to comply with any part of this agreement, Julian Marshall Studio reserves the right to cancel any unshipped portion of the order, retain the goods, and consider the deposit as liquidated damages.

    Alternatively, Julian Marshall Studio has the right to apply the goods towards payment due under this agreement, in addition to any other remedies available under the applicable commercial law. The studio may sell or dispose of the goods through public or private sale, for cash or credit.

    Any proceeds from the sale will be used to cover the expenses related to enforcing Julian Marshall Studio's rights under this agreement. Any remaining balance will be applied to the buyer’s outstanding account, as determined by Julian Marshall Studio at its sole discretion. The buyer remains responsible for paying any remaining unpaid balance.

  • Shipping and Delivery of Products

    To assist our customers, Julian Marshall Studio will arrange the shipping of orders through one of our trusted carriers. Shipping charges are considered proforma and will be included in the final balance due notice.

    If you choose to handle your own freight and delivery, please inform Julian Marshall Studio with the specific details of the transport arrangements. A fee for moving the product from the manufacturer to a terminal for "customer pick-up" will be added to your outstanding balance. Additionally, the location where the product is picked up by the customer or their agent may result in sales tax obligations at that location.

    Ownership of the product is transferred to the client when the freight carrier takes possession of the order for transport. Therefore, any damage that occurs during transit becomes the responsibility of the owner, and all freight damage claims must be made within 72 hours of receiving the order.

    If you use your own freight carrier, freight claims must be handled directly with the selected carrier. Julian Marshall Studio cannot be held liable for damages or claims related to third-party freight carriers.

    We recommend using a qualified receiving warehouse to inspect, consolidate deliveries, and assist with in-home installation. If needed, Julian Marshall Studio can suggest a suitable receiving warehouse.

    A receiving warehouse acts as the client's agent, responsible for noting any damage and helping the client file freight claims if damage is discovered.

    If products are delivered directly to a home, a qualified individual should be present to inspect the goods. Signing the Bill of Lading (BOL) upon receipt confirms that the products were received in good condition, unless any exceptions are noted on the BOL.     A full inspection should be completed within 48 hours of delivery, and all freight claims should be filed within 72 hours. Carefully examine the cartons or crates and take photos of any damage to the packaging—this is essential for resolving damage claims. Also, inspect the branded tape seal. If it is damaged or tampered with, note this on the BOL.

    Unpack the cartons or crates and carefully inspect the merchandise. Packaging should never be discarded until you are satisfied with the condition of the products. If you are unable to inspect the goods at the time of delivery, note on the BOL that concealed damage will be the responsibility of the carrier or manufacturer, to be determined upon inspection of the items. Julian Marshall Studio must be notified of any concealed damage within 48 hours. Keep a copy of the BOL, save the packaging materials, and take photos of the damage.

    Any issues should be reported to Julian Marshall Studio’s customer service team.

    All products are inspected by the manufacturer before shipment to ensure they are in good condition, complete, and ready for transport. The carrier is responsible for inspecting the products at the point of origin. Any damage must be noted on the BOL. The signed BOL confirms that the carrier has accepted responsibility for delivering the products in the condition they were received. Inspection of the products is limited to the exterior of the packages, and any exceptions must be noted. Packages should be opened immediately if the cartons or crates appear damaged.

    The fitting, installation, and maintenance of our products must be performed by professionals.

     
  • Exchanges and Returns

    As our products are made to order, cancellations, returns, and exchanges are not accepted unless the items are damaged or defective. Any changes to orders, returns, or cancellations require prior written approval from Julian Marshall Studio.

    Defective items will be replaced within the standard production timeline required to reorder and manufacture the same product.

    If you receive a damaged or defective product, you must inform Julian Marshall Studio and return the item in its original condition. You are legally responsible for taking reasonable care of the product while it is in your possession. Failure to do so may result in a claim for compensation.

    In the event of receiving a damaged or defective product, please contact Julian Marshall Studio within 30 days via email at julianmarshallstudio@gmail.com or by phone at +33665210505 to arrange a return.

    All products returned as damaged or defective will be examined, and we will notify you of the status of your refund within a reasonable timeframe. If the returned product is confirmed as damaged or defective, you will be refunded in full.

    If no fault is found with the returned product, you will be informed that the return cannot be accepted, and the item will be shipped back to you at your expense.

  • Refund Procedure for Defective or Damaged Products

    Refunds for returned items will be issued by Julian Marshall Studio to the individual who made the original payment. The credit will be processed on the same value date as the original debit.

    Julian Marshall Studio typically issues refunds using the same payment method originally used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed upon.

    Julian Marshall Studio is exempt from its delivery obligations in cases of force majeure or events such as war, strikes, fires, natural disasters, transport delays, shortages of raw materials, accidents, or any other circumstances that may disrupt the company’s operations or those of its suppliers.

    Re-exporting products from the country in which they were ordered is prohibited. If this condition is violated, Julian Marshall Studio reserves the right to cease all future deliveries.
